Ida Callegaro
After finishing art school in 1986 at Istituto Pietro Selvatico in Padova, she started her professional career working for various goldsmithing companies around Vicenza, where she learnt diverse methods of production.
1990 was the turning-point of her career. She finally left the world of production to concentrate exclusively on jewellery design collaborating with some important goldsmith companies and exhibiting her first collections.
From 1991 to 1997 she acquired vast experience working for a well-known goldsmith firm from Vicenza, where she was in charge of research, design and prototypes.
In 1998 she started to work with some firms in the same sector and she started proposing innovative designs for an international clientele.
From 2002 to the present day she has been running a design studio as a self-employed professional, collaborating in different sectors, working on jewellery design and fashion accessories.
In 2007 she was selected for the SATURNO PROJECT, promoted by the European Union, to develop projects on jewellery design and services to companies in that sector.
Through the years she has been collaborating with important foreign and Italian companies in the search of the brand and the creation of lines and jewellery prototypes, accessories and luxury bijouterie. She has also been working on collections created for male clients. She has taken part in numerous exhibitions and competitions in the world of jewellery and some of her creations have been published on 18KT and GOLD MAGAZINE.
